Garden Indoors

If you live in a home with no place for gardening yet you would love to have plants of your own to look after despair not as you can grow a garden inside your home.  But before you try planting anything inside your home, I would like to share with you some pointers I have picked up along the way.

For containers, indoor herbs are known to grow well on small to medium pots. You can use terracotta post which is more stylish than ordinary pots but will like cost you more.  Glazed pots can also be used especially if you want to flaunt the pots along with your furniture and fixtures.  If you are more adventurous you can try hanging baskets but it would be tricky when it comes to drainage.

Speaking of drainage, it is important that you plant your indoor herbs on pots with good drainage. If the pot retains too much water, the roots soaking in water will result in the herb not growing at all or just dying.

There are herbs out there that can grow healthy inside your home. For these plants, make sure that they receive plenty of light.  Also, remember that you should keep these plants away from places with fluctuating temperature like near a stove or a hearth even if it has a stained glass fireplace screen or a window during winter.

So there you are, just some pointers to help you out on that indoor garden you are planning.
