Bathroom Color
Try as I might, I would never have all the answers for different home improvement topics. So I use my spare time to learn something new. Of course, books are great sources of information and so does the World Wide Web.
Recently, I found this article about decorating bathrooms. It’s all about the different combination of colors to make your bathroom more appealing. So here are some tips from said article:
- Search for inspiration, from your favorite linen dress or piece of art to nature’s beauty. Worn pebbles or the inside of a shell can be a simple starting point for a beautiful soft bathroom color palette.
- Whatever color you choose for wall paint, don’t go too matchy-matchy with the accessories. Towels and decorative pieces in a shade lighter or darker than the walls will offer more visual variety.
- Consider the reflectivity of the colors surrounding the mirrored vanity area. When you apply makeup, you’re likely to compensate for the colors being thrown on your face, whether they are strong or weak.
- Remember that color changes color. In white-beige combos, for example, the white can look "dirty." Combine a mixed color, such as mauve (which is pink with blue undertones), with blue and the mauve will be distinctly bluer than if you combined it with yellow.
I hope those tips can help you make your own bathroom look better.
